Malaika Arora shares back and hip flexor strengthening exercises with ankle weights

In her recent Instagram post, the actor demonstrated a series of five ankle weight exercises focussed on strengthening the back and hip flexors.

The first exercise involved back extensions with twists to be done for 10 reps. This was followed by back extensions with legs, also at 10 reps.

The third exercise intensified the workout with back leg lifts and opposite arm lifts for 10 reps. An L-sit with a single leg raise over yoga blocks at 10 reps made up the fourth exercise.

The last included a seated L-sit single leg raise held steady for 20 seconds. Malaika recommended two sets.

These routines aid back issues while improving posture and toning abdominal muscles. They work the often-ignored hip flexors as well.

By sharing her easy equipment workout, Malaika motivated fans to kickstart their Monday on a healthy note with a full-body exercise session at home.
