Indian debut film actress Sanya Malhotra represents Indian beauty at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne
The recently Indian Film Festival of Melbourne had the Bollywood’s promising debutante actress Sanya Malhotra depict the best of Modern Indian beauty. The star of Kathal was seen in an elegant brocade dress that was a tribute to her Tamil origin.
While vacationing in Australia, Malhotra wore a royal purple brocade kurta that was both flowy and fitted with three-quarter-length sleeves and neckline that was cut way down. She then teamed the kurta with matching ankle length straight pants which were also made out of the same material. The highlight of the outfit for the night was that it was designed by Malhotra’s mother, Renu Malhotra who has been her official dress-maker all along.
Finalising the royal theme of the dress, the actress wore a brocade jacket from Delhi Vintage Co The statement piece was maximalistic in its design elements with wide gold thread laced collars and dramatic sleeves.
To complement her clothes, Malhotra wore a pair of ‘white gold’ heels that came with facilities that include ankle strap closure as well as peep-toe feature. She also had a maroon gota patti decorated clutch and wore a retro gold and pearl woven maatha patti which was designed in such a way that it resembled a jhumka.
The hair was tied in a simple low bun at the nape of the neck with centre partition along with reliable makeup and the show stopper was the maatha-patti adorning the forehead designed with gold and pearl work. As for the makeup, the same idea was followed, so we have gold shimmer lids, full brows, filled in lashes, a touch of blush and bronzer, and burnt cherry glossy lip – this shade of the lip eventfully matched her jacket’s tones.
Sanya Malhotra’s representation of her Indian heritage during her visit at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne which was interjected with her mother’s ever constant influence on her dressing code. She exemplar of majesty and royal opulence; and indeed, she had the platform to display to the world the exquisite craftsmanship of the Indian designers.
