Breaking convention, Sobhita Dhulipala looks all set to ditch the pastel palette for her wedding to Naga Chaitanya in favor of rich, traditional hues that celebrate her heritage. Recent photos have her looking exquisite in a burgundy archival lehenga designed by Sabyasachi, adding a bohemian touch to her bridal look.
In a series of stunning pictures shared by Sabyasachi, Sobhita looked radiant in a multicolored, multi-paneled lehenga that was paired with a solid-colored long-sleeve blouse. The dupatta falling beautifully on her shoulders added warmth to her look with shades of burgundy, ochre, and brown. She completed the outfit with juttis embroidered intricately and heavy anklets, elevating the traditional appeal.
Sabyasachi explained that she wore a hand-crafted bagru multi-panel “chotu lehenga” for her wedding, which was inspired by the brand’s archives. The antiqued zardozi and hand-painted mirror border on the skirt, the hand-woven cotton dupatta, a classic ‘Kanthi’ blouse, a parandi, and Chandbalis in 22k gold from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery added extra elegance to the ensemble. The look was completed with embellished handcrafted bellies by Sabyasachi Accessories.
Sobhita’s lehenga set, with its zardozi and intricate mirror borders, had a bohemian charm to it, while the embroidered border of her cotton dupatta complemented the lehenga beautifully. She also sported heavy chandbalis, accentuating her look with a traditional parandi hairpiece. A monochrome brown makeup palette completed her bridal aesthetic.
