Uorfi Javed has been pushing the boundaries one outfit at a time. In the Fashion Entrepreneur Fund event held in Mumbai last night, the lady gave a modern twist to a saree and went full contemporary apsara in it.
A viral video on Instagram, by a paparazzo, captured the beauty of Uorfi as she stepped onto the red carpet wearing a dark blue-coloured saree paired with floral headgear. The shimmery outfit was draped into a gown style with much boldness. Uorfi had pleated the saree around her lower body, allowing the pleats to fall to beauty as she draped the pallu asymmetrically across her chest.
She had very boldly discarded the blouse and worked with the pallu as an intelligent top. Her hair came alive in a chic bun, perfectly styled with white flowers; well, the traditional and contemporary fused together to give out just that apsara-like touch for her. This reimagined saree was ideally cast for the red carpet-the perfect balance between the essence of glamour and that of tradition.
For makeup, Uorfi went for a natural yet glamorous look. She sported a fresh, dewy base with shimmery eyeshadows to add to the glamour. A bit of eyeliner and mascara gave her eyes dramatic definition, while soft contours and blush added to the natural glow. The look was completed with a bold red lip and minimal accessories, which included elegant pearl earrings and rings.
A starry night indeed, the event Fashion Entrepreneur Fund took place on December 8 and saw a host of A-listers in Janhvi Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Rakul Preet Singh, Jackky Bhagnani, Manushi Chhillar, and Manish Malhotra, among other such names.
