Zuckerberg’s style shift: From hoodies to haute couture

To everyone’s surprise, the creator of one of the world’s leading social networks, Facebook, who wears nothing but grey hoodies and has an informal dress sense, Mark Zuckerberg, has transitioned into a new and fashionable man of status.

The 40-year-old CEO of Meta, previously known as Facebook, has been recently seen in fancy looks, including well-fitted tuxedos, shearling jackets, and even an Indian kurta set up and much away from the technology businessman casual wear.

Zuckerberg’s changing fashion sense has not been overlooked. Whereas the tech executive was formerly associated with the laid-back costumes characteristic of Silicon Valley, there has been an upgrade, and the tech mogul is now dapper. This shift in style not only affects the ways people perceive Zuckerberg and his company but also reveals a shift in culture within the software industry.

In some cases, individuals overload their options, but it is about diversity and overcoming prejudices, such as the fact that he appears less and less frequently in grey and black hoodies now, Mishra said, adding that he dressed Zuckerberg for the Ambanis’ engagement celebration in Gujarat.

Zuckerberg’s new fashion accessory, a gold chain necklace, has also prompted much discussion, with the man himself admitting that he’s working on a ‘smart chain’ where he intends to include engravings, for instance, of a prayer he recites to his daughters.

Thus, Mark Zuckerberg’s transformation effectively shows the direction that leaders, especially those in the IT industry, are taking through his global company.

Clothing is a language, and Apple’s choice is a way of changing the world’s perception of the tech giant and replacing the stereotype of the tech bro with a sober dress code that appears incredibly suave and debonair.

Evolving the clothing style that Zuckerberg chose to wear is not merely a worthwhile ethical change that he has undergone within a short period, but rather, it is illustrative of how or even the social relations within the technological sector.

As the sector grows older and encroaches more space in society, the leaders of these companies are beginning to change their demeanor and observe a more subtle, corporate-like dress sense, which Zuckerberg’s makeover symbolizes.
