BCD group to lease 900 apartments to Foxconn in Bengaluru

BCD Group, the real estate firm, is in the process of leasing out 900 apartments to Foxconn, which has been Apple Inc.’s manufacturing partner for three years in Hoskote, Bengaluru. These homes will accommodate Foxconn’s women engineering technical and support staff and factory employees in its upcoming iPhone plant, situated less than half an hour’s drive away.

Foxconn bought around 300 Acres of land in Devanahalli, near the Kempegowda International Airport, for manufacturing. Hoskote has developed as an industrial belt, and many corporate companies have established their industries there.

The township project, which operated as New Agra township, was acquired by BCD Group in 2021 and named BCD Empresa, with an initial capital of ₹ 250 Crores. The Women and Child Development Ministry of India wants to build an initial blue-collar girls-only dormitory in India to house about 8500 women.

Spread over 8 acres, BCD Emprasa has nine towers with 1RK and 2RK configurations. These units are designed to accommodate 4 – 6 people per unit. The second phase of the project will comprise plotted and villa developments called Ekam Homes.

BCD Group was established in 1948 and currently operates in seven cities in India, Nepal, Mauritius, and Iraq. The firm has an order book of about ₹ 2,000 Crore and plans to extend more than the said amount by FY25.
