Cupertino-based tech giant Apple launched their latest MacBook Air laptop powered by the all-new M3 processor. The lightweight notebook starts at Rs. 1,14,900 and promises enhanced speeds for everyday tasks.
The new MacBook Air retains its thin and portable design but upgrades to an M-series chip for the first time. The M3 is an 8-core CPU and 10-core GPU optimized for efficiency, offering 40% faster performance than before.
Storage has been doubled to 256GB on the base variant as standard. Other improvements include a 1080p FaceTime camera, a four-speaker sound system, and a longer battery life of up to 18 hours on a single charge.
The 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with 500 nits of brightness also upgrades to support 1 billion colors. Connectivity options include two Thunderbolt ports to connect displays and accessories.
Apple touts this as the “most powerful” Air yet, claiming it outperforms competing Windows laptops in common use cases. Pre-orders start immediately in India, while retail availability begins on March 25th.
Analysts note the lower price and high performance make this Air a competitor smartphone upgraders can seriously consider. It remains to be seen if this draws more users to the Mac ecosystem.
