Apple, a widely-known tech brand, is causing quite a stir lately with its promising features for the iPhone in the upcoming years. According to reports, Apple is heading down the AI path while also adding a few app tweaks to its next-generation phones that are based on the iOS platform. For Apple, the purpose is improving at least four apps that feature newly implemented functionality, and design is going to be the primary task.
Apple, the Cupertino-based company, is said to be engaged in iOS 18 development and has confirmed June 10 to be the date for the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), which will be holding iOS 18 unveiling. AI remains one of the core pursuits of Apple as a brand because it strives to add novel features and tech to improve sales of iPhones.
In contrast to Apple publishing research papers related to AI, it is not likely that its own chatbot will come into existence this year. A fresh dialogue is now ongoing with OpenAI, illustrating a collaboration principle to incorporate OpenAI’s GPT models into Apple’s AI functionalities.
Regarding OpenAI, Apple is also said to be negotiating with Google about the Magic of Gemini AI and Baidu about the Ernie of AI (China only). The specific features Apple intends to produce are under wraps, but AI integration is expected to play a major role out of the box.
Features could involve an input box, a Safari content summarizer, and a skipped item notification recap. Apple might use the Ajax AI model, which is its in-house along with Open AI, Google AI, and Baidu AI to ensure that it is faster and more accurate.
As AI technology develops further, Apple might ensure the renewal of its core programs, including Email, Notes, Photos, and Fitness. The picture is somewhat obscure; however, any features that may get changed and functions that are introduced can be foreseen. Apple users also might experience an innovation that will allow them to place apps anywhere on the Home Screen and hence represent a contrast to the current grid restrictions.
The fact that these features and changes remain speculations and have not been acknowledged by Apple yet should be considered. At DDW in 2024, we will have a clearer insight into the strict vision for IOS version 18.
