Analysts predict major upgrades at Apple’s September 2024 event.
Apple is set to host its ‘It’s Glowtime’ event on September 9, highlighting new products and features. The event is taking place at Apple Park and will be livestreamed globally.
The invitation’s “glowing” logo hints that Apple Intelligence may activate an illuminated effect on iPhone displays.
The key attraction is expected to be the iPhone 16 series comprising four models. Displays of Pro variants may see a size increase while performance is tipped to get a boost from new chips.
Improved camera specs and video recording capabilities are also anticipated. Design-wise, a reworked rear camera setup and larger storage variants could be featured.
The event may introduce iOS 18 with customizable options, Messages app enhancements, and strengthened privacy controls. However, more advanced AI-driven tools may debut via the subsequent iOS 18.1 update.
Apple Intelligence is predicted to offer writing assistance, improved Siri interactions, and creation of images/Memoji through generative AI.
A thinner, larger Apple Watch Series X with a potential 49mm display and sleep apnea detection is also anticipated.
AirPods 4 may arrive in two versions while AirPods Max could receive a refresh. Standard iPad may get a processor upgrade and mini may fix “jelly scroll” issues.
No refreshes are projected for products updated recently like iPad/MacBook lines. Ongoing development may also exclude some products from announcements. Speculations offer clues to Apple’s vision but the September event will unveil innovations in full.
