Apple’s aggressive smart glasses project faces constant technological and design-related major setbacks in each attempt.
There have been reports and speculation that for years, we have seen Apple work towards the creation of lightweight and practical smart glasses, often termed “Apple AR smart glasses.” However, to this date, Apple has not clarified the matter.
Now, if a new report is to be believed, we will need to wait a little longer for the moment when we will witness the launch of Apple’s smart glasses in action.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claims that the technical and design issues are creating significant obstacles for Apple in developing Apple smart Glasses, which will further delay the launch of the product. He even claims the product might be delayed by three to five years.
In his latest “Power On” newsletter, Gurman, responding to a question, revealed that even though the just-unveiled Apple Vision Pro headset was Apple’s first major move into augmented reality and virtual reality, coming up with sleek, functional, and affordable smart glasses is much tougher.
He noted that while Apple is still working on an augmented reality smart glass, he does not expect it to come out anytime soon. Gurman explained that Apple is dealing with a “tough formula” involving solving multiple design and technical issues.
