Leadership Struggles
Hankey was the person who succeeded Ive and like him also left the Apple in 2022, soon after this many other talented designers of the company also departed. This consequently led to a creation of a talent as well as leadership vaccum.
Apple was aiming to replenish at the talent shortage with new faces but the issue was that, they had never worked for Ive or Steve Jobs. Appreciating the fact that design could not longer be ignored, Apple then had the design department report directly to the COO Jeff Williams.
