Delhi High Court is slated to consider Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s petition calling for the nullification of his detention and interrogation by the agency that enforces economic laws, known as the Enforcement Directorate (ED), regarding the excise policy. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s case concerns an excise policy in 2022 that is suspected of wrongdoing and money laundering by central agencies. Kejriwal is now in the custody of central agencies from March 21 until March 28.
Her eminence, The Hon’ble Supreme Court Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma, will hear this case. Kejriwal, the head of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has been very conspicuous about being in ED custody of governing. He held a press conference and used his legal team to communicate with the media and the public even while in custody. He has brought some plans with the recent announcement to ensure the presence of necessary medicines and diagnostic tests in all government hospitals and Mohalla Clinics, highlighting the willpower towards the people’s wellness of the capital.
Kejriwal’s actions from the jail are the result of his undoubted concern about the dwellers of the capital of Delhi, which was said by Saurabh Bharadwaj, the Health Minister of the City. It should be noted that the battle is still being fought legally, but the Chief Minister’s steadfastness in fulfilling his responsibilities is one of the other things that makes him a true leader.
The CBI case with Kejriwal’s arrest by the ED on March 21 becomes another milestone in this case. In the meantime, he joins the elites of other AAP leaders and Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, who are the ones charged for participating in the excise policy case.
The former Deputy Bureau for Investigation (CBI) received a case. A powerful official with oversight of finances, Manish Sisodia, was initially seized on 26 February 2022. However, he was taken into imprisonment by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case. In like manner, on 5th October 2020, one MP from the Rajya Sabha who owns the name Sanjay Singh was arrested by the ED.
Awaiting everything, the Delhi High Court is the only doubt that can decide the course of action for Arvind Kejriwal’s appeal to drop his arrest and follow the remand in the excise policy case. The resolution of the Delhi scandal case hearing will have a major impact on the further proceedings of the investigation and the very politics of Delhi.
