Mark Zuckerberg wrote in one of his Facebook posts, “Amazing Green Day show and huge congrats to Billie Joe, Tre, and Mike on the 20th anniversary of American Idiot and 30th anniversary of Dookie.”
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently attended a performance by Green Day, an American rock band hailing from California, formed in 1987.
Here is what Mark Zuckerberg has to say about the Green Day performance and a photo behind the scenes of the band members.
Zuckerberg congratulated the Green Day on the 20th anniversary of American Idiot and the 30th anniversary of Dookie.
Tech titan then came back to share what significant part of his life the band has played.
While posting the photo, Mark Zuckerberg wrote, “Amazing Green Day show and huge congrats Billie Joe, Tre, and Mike on the 20th anniversary of American Idiot and 30th anniversary of Dookie.
I remember many parts of my life by what new Green Day music I was listening to from middle school, high school, and camp growing up to coding early FB to our wedding and more recent times. You guys are legends.”
Green Day lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong said he did the free performance at Mark Zuckerberg’s wedding. He said during Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, “Yes.
I did perform for free.” When asked about Zuckerberg, he said, “He was kind of a Green Day fan, almost in a nerdy kind of way, which was enduring.”
