Adani Group’s upcoming foray into the cab service sector is in report now as it intends to team up with Uber to launch revolutionary electric cabs. The Economic Times i.e. the Delhi based English newspaper reported that Gautam Adani, the millionaire alongwith Khosrowshahi, Uber boss were recently focus using this joint venture. During the talks, Adani Group aims to be an operator that owns hundreds of electric four-wheelers and operates them by joining and flooding the Uber platform.

Adani is also planning to outbid the old school Radio taxis and go head to head with these aging taxis as they plan to make their first foray into the taxi hailing business.

Its initial focus will be on the seven airports owned and managed by the group, such as Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, and Jaipur according to knowledgeable people. On the other hand, the relationship with Uber at the level of cooperation may evolve towards an approach of the application of the aggregator of taxis inside of Adani Ec one, the conglomerate’s travel app that was rolled out for public use last year.

“The parties involved in this matter, have had been ongoing dialog on this particular issue since mid-2022, decided to put their communication on the work table last year,” said the source. “Additionally, the meetings were restarted most lately after Khosrowshahi’s trip to India,” which the source further clarified. As per the proposed plan, Adani group will not look at produce and control the electric vehicle fleet but rather to acquire and infrastructure the electric vehicle fleet in collaboration with Uber as mentioned above. \

Summing up the entire tale, Adani’s group is probably considering a strategic partnering with Uber to develop a platform that will create awareness about EVs and last mile solutions across different cities in India. On top of this the both parties shall focus on maximizing gains from collaboration and remain committed to ecological objectives.
