As things stand, India has only two official Apple Stores, located in BKC, Mumbai, and DLF Saket in New Delhi. During the earnings call, Cook sounded quite stoked, saying that after opening two new stores earlier in the year, Apple was really looking forward to continuing its expansion in India with these next stores.
Cook also highlighted that Apple had its highest-ever revenue in the Indian market, reflecting the country’s rising appetite for high-end smartphones and technology products.
This increase led Apple to mark new records not only in India but also in significant markets such as the Americas, Europe, and other regions of the Asia Pacific.
Apple’s stellar performance isn’t confined to iPhone sales. The company also announced a revenue increase from iPads, which hit $7 billion for the quarter, or an 8 per cent year-over-year increase.
CFO Luca Maestri added that it wasn’t just the developed markets where growth was recorded but also in emerging ones like Mexico and Brazil, even reaching as far as India, with double-digit growth.
