WhatsApp, the popular messaging service, encountered server problems on Thursday that affected the messaging process; users could not receive or send messages. Indian users reported encountering difficulties, such as registering more than 17 thousand complaints on the service Downdetector. This problem occurred around 11 pm and affected WhatsApp and Metaen Instagram.
Having the role of Network Blocks, provided information that there were international outages of Meta platforms, which affected news uploads worldwide. The incidents were due to internal factors producing service degradation instead of general disturbances. A scarcity of uploads on the platforms and hashtag campaigns was echoed by users in the UK (67,000) and Brazil (95,000 users). Instagram was also left unaffected by those incidents.
WhatsApp’s statement covering the issue is worth mentioning: they are approaching the problem and acting promptly to get the service up and running. On its status page, Facebook Inc. (Meta) detected the failure in its Cloud API technology and announced that the engineering teams are currently examining the matter. The customer points out that the change was set to be implemented within the next four hours.
