It’s a platform by Elon Musk known as X that is slowly but surely on the way to becoming the human’s only application. It already offers options like video calling and aims to add services like payment options; it even has an AI chatbot. Soon, X could directly compete with the video conferencing services currently dominating the market, including Zoom and Google Meet.
Chris Park, an employee at X, revealed information about this new feature and included a screenshot of the video conferencing. It is similar to Zoom and Google Meet but has different colors and features that are unique to X. Park mentioned that the conferencing tool is now under testing for internal use. It has the potential to be a solid replacement for the current tools.
Another developer suggested that X will simply spit out code that people participating in the ability to join a call may wish to share. However, the date for the launch of this feature has not been set, but it is expected to be launched soon.
On the same note, Grok 2, the AI chatbot, has now developed the capacity to produce images, thus eliciting both positive and negative responses from the users. Some of the images created resemble real people and have led to ridicule. This has caused concerns to arise about what those who are into such content can easily generate.
Asymptote-suspending worries: Grok 2 may unthinkingly develop into AI deepfakes and a playground for copyright woes, requiring better content generation policies. Unlike other AI platforms that were criticized for similar concerns, the logic of X is not very well balanced, especially as it concerns the depiction of real-life characters in AI-crafted images.
