Zomato introduces the “Photo Cakes” feature for personalized delights

Zomato’s CEO, Deepinder Goyal, has unveiled an exciting new feature called “Photo Cakes.” This innovative addition allows users to order personalized cakes adorned with any photo and have them delivered within just 30 minutes. To test the service, Goyal ordered a custom photo cake to celebrate an employee’s remarkable decade-long journey with Zomato. The cake was specially designed for a Zomato executive who joined the company at 20 and now co-leads the HR team.

Goyal took to social media, sharing his experience and posting a snapshot of the cake with the employee’s picture, expressing his congratulations and appreciation. The Photo Cakes feature is currently available in select areas of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR). Still, plans are underway to extend its availability to other cities shortly.

Users can easily upload their desired image while placing an order through the Zomato app to enjoy a cake with a personal touch. This exciting feature was launched just before Mother’s Day, when the platform typically witnessed a cake orders surge.

In addition to this delightful offering, Goyal made headlines by introducing India’s first crowd-supported weather infrastructure, which provides localized real-time data on essential weather factors like temperature, humidity, wind speed, and rainfall.
