Dispute over ₹11,000 crore Tobacco empire Turns violent, son alleges assault

The scuffle took place at Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani’s residence, where Samir Modi, the younger brother of Aditya Modi, had gone to visit his mother, who is one of Mukesh Ambani’s security officers.

New Delhi: The brainchild of Godfrey Phillips cigarettes, the company co-owned by Samir Modi, stated his mother attacked him. The Economic Times reported the upswing in the battle of the distressed heirs over the late KK Modi’s ₹ 11,000 crore.

Thus, Samir Modi filed a complaint with the Delhi Police on Friday, stating that the harassment, which resulted in his receiving “grievous hurt,”  was carried out by his mother’s PSO as well as several directors of Godfrey Phillips; in this connection, he tried to enter a scheduled board meeting at the company’s office in Jasola, New Delhi.

He said the incident occurred on Thursday when he was attempting to input the scheduled board meeting for GP at Jasola in Delhi.

”I was locked out of the meeting by Bina Modi’s personal security officer, who said that I could not sit in the board meeting. When I told him that I needed to get in and tried to open the door, he shoved me away.”

The altercation led to him receiving a cut on his index finger that Kata described as lyrical as a fracture. Mr. Modi offered to sit for the board meeting even though he was badly injured and proceeded to get medical treatment only after that, according to CNBC-TV18.

In his complaint to the police lodged at the Sarita Vihar police station, Mr. Modi said his index finger was broken into two and needed a screw and wire to join it; he may not regain full motor movement of his index finger.

“Research indicates that the screw used to fix the finger will remain with me forever, and my right-hand index finger will only be partially functional,”

I am told by the medical practitioners.
