Audiences have embraced Kriti Sanon’s versatile acting range across romantic dramas and comedies. But in her next outing ‘Do Patti,’ the talent takes a twisted turn into the mystery-thriller territory – with Kriti also debuting as a producer through her company Blue Butterfly Films.
“Sometimes when you don’t find opportunities exciting enough, you gotta create one!” she explained about turning producer.
Set against the lush hills of North India, ‘Do Patti’ sees Kriti unite with Kajol, who interestingly steps into a cop avatar for the first time. As the teaser hints, it chronicles a murder mystery with mind games and moral quandaries.
“Firsts are always special – be it Kajol’s first as a cop or Kriti’s first thriller,” Netflix posted while sharing the trailer.
Fans flooded comments expressing surprise and excitement seeing Kriti embrace an intense new genre. Colleague Varun Dhawan cheered her on as Badshah hailed the “chills” evoked by shadowy glimpses.
For Kriti, ‘Do Patti’ represents a passion project born out of her desire to push creative boundaries. “I created this opportunity for myself,” she asserted at the show’s announcement.
