Tesla to Deploy Humanoid robot’s in 2024: Musk

Tesla head Elon Musk stated that the electric car maker will use and manufacture humanoid robots from next year.

Tweeting in October, Mr. Musk clarified that the robots will be initially employed by Tesla; the company will begin manufacturing them for consumers three years later.

Previously, the technology billionaire stated that he thought that the robot, named Optimus, would be prepared to apply in industries such as Tesla by this year-end.

Relatedly, Honda has been working on its own companion robots, while Boston Dynamics has also been creating its own humanoid robots.

“I think we will have very useful humanoid robots mostly made in low volume for Tesla use in the next year and hopefully high-volume robot axis for sale to others in 2026,” the tech billionaire stated in his X account, previously referred to as Twitter.

It happened a day before Tesla was originally scheduled to report its last quarter financials.

The shares in the company active during Monday’s trading session on the New York Stock Exchange increased by over 5%.

The firm has declared that it wants to develop an “autonomous humanoid robot” to do such “unsafe, repetitive, or boring work.

Mr. Musk has in the past declared that Tesla intended to make the robots inexpensive and could be produced in a large quantity for less than $20,000 each.

He is credited for planning his companies’ activities to cover certain periods and had at times failed to honor the planned times.

In early 2019, he stated that he was very confident that Tesla would have self-driving taxis by 2020 the following year.

Back in June, the supremo said the much-anticipated rob taxi in Tesla was going to be launched on the 8th of August.

He seems to have endorsed a report last week that this event was going to be shifted.

Mr. Musk did not provide a new date but said he had emailed a new request to tweak the front of the car.

“As you pointed out, the extra time does make it possible to showcase a few other things,” he said.
