Trump warns Google of potential shutdown, praises Zuckerberg

Former US President Donald Trump surprised everyone with rather loud statements regarding the tech giant Google, and threats were outlined in relation to the company’s irresponsible work. Trump’s comments are given against the backdrop of increasing criticism of the platforms of the major tech companies and their influence on the political processes and public opinion.

The interview included Trump reminiscing about a conversation with Mark Zuckerberg about Facebook fame; the individual allegedly referred to Trump’s actions as amazing and brave. The conversation also showed Zuckerberg expressing his desire not to support the Democratic party and admitting to past blunders with a stern intent of making the required amends.

However, Trump pointed out a rather different experience regarding Google. He dismissed the company’s ‘conduct’ as ‘very bad’ and ‘irresponsible. ‘ The former president proceeded to ponder the possibility of Google suffering the angry bars of congressional legislation amounting to the shutdown of the company’s operation.

Trump’s observations have underlined social media’s strong relevance in framing the populace’s mindset. He stressed on the availability of content through the mobile and appreciated some media for having a good product and brand.

These statements are not kindly made at the moment as tech companies continue to be under pressure from lawmakers and the public. These firms have become a subject of controversy because they have encountered various problems, such as misinformation, data privacy, and supposed political bias.

Even if the probability of real congressional action against Google remains unknown, Trump’s remark indicates the continuous enmity between technology goliaths and political authorities.

When comparing Facebook’s public expressions of readiness to admit its missteps with Google’s perceived indifference, one cannot but notice the intricate dynamics of the leaders of high-tech companies with political powers.

As the battle over the authority and obligation of the significant technology organizations continues, Trump’s caution signals the new challenges such companies confront in politicizing a main elective.

Due to its seemingly conscious response to the aforementioned issues, while still being innovative and influential, the tech sector will successively continue to be in the spotlight over the coming months.
