Kai Trump’s tweet with a family photo featuring Elon Musk but not Melania has gone viral. The photo is indicative of Musk’s closer ties to Trump now.
Hours into his victory in the US presidential elections, Donald Trump’s 17-year-old granddaughter, Kai Trump, has hinted at Elon Musk becoming family to the President-elect. In an image posted by Kai on X, Donald Trump had several others of his family, including Musk, who was seen holding his son. The image read, “The whole squad.”.
However, other than the presence of the billionaire himself, what caught the netizen’s attention was the absence of Trump’s wife Melania.
Musk is the world’s richest man. He massively backed Trump in the presidential race against Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, a race that has granted the billionaire entrepreneur extraordinary influence to help his companies secure favourable government treatment.

According to federal records, Musk donated at least $119 million to a pro-Trump spending group and relentlessly promoted the former president in the critical late stages of the campaign.
He even ran a giveaway to voters in seven battleground states, who signed a petition in support of free speech and gun rights, which registered voters later would claim was a fraud.
Most important to note, however, is that many of Musk’s business interests—from Tesla electric vehicles to SpaceX rockets and Neuralink brain chips—require either partially or wholly government regulation, subsidies, or policy.
That means Tesla’s fortunes will rise or fall accordingly with Trump’s treatment of the diverse array of subsidies, policies, and regulatory schemes for electric and autonomous vehicles. Democratic administrations have always championed many of such pro-EV policies, which Tesla supports.
