Sussexes spend time in Texas ahead of panel discussion
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex traveled from their California home to Austin, Texas, ahead of an event on Friday. Meghan Markle is slated to participate in a keynote panel on International Women’s Day.
On Thursday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enjoyed an evening at the members-only Soho House in Austin. An onlooker stated that the royal couple appeared happy and in great spirits during dinner. Harry was described as animated throughout the meal by the dining observer.
The next day, the Duchess will join a panel titled ‘Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen.’ She will sit alongside personalities like Katie Couric, Brooke Shields, and Nancy Wang Yuen for the discussion at the SXSW conference.
Soho House is significant for the Sussexes, having hosted their first date in London in 2016. In his memoir, Prince Harry previously wrote fondly about their initial meeting there. The royal pair appreciates the private members’ club chain.
Before their Texas visit, Prince Harry and Meghan resided in Montecito, California, with their children. Following her panel appearance, it remains unknown if any further engagements are scheduled during their time in Austin.
