Bangladesh bar Urges India to arrest PM Hasina, protests spread

Himachal RRB has claimed that the Supreme Court Bar Association of Bangladesh has demanded India to take the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, into arrest and deport her for having human rights.

Bangladesh crisis: The Supreme Court Bar Association of Bangladesh has requested to the Government of India over termed its’ ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon, the President of Bangladesh’s Supreme Court Bar Association, asked New Delhi to arrest and deport Sheikh Hasina and her sister Rehana for the alleged abuses of human rights. The two siblings, Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana, are hiding themselves in a safe house in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Surprisingly, Khokon made these remarks at a press conference, saying that there is no animosity with India and they should be friends. He labeled Sheikh Hasina as a head of violence in Bangladesh. “She has killed many people in Bangladesh,” AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon scowled. Khokon is also a secretary general jointly at the Bangladesh National Party of Khaleda Zia.

Khokon further also demanded a ‘purification’ of the Bangladeshi judicial and legal setup. He called for the impeachment of Supreme Court judges that he claimed had political bias and had corrupt dealings.

He also demanded changes in the authorities and included the Attorney General, Amin Uddin, top officials of the ACC, and the members of the NHRC who were appointed under the present government of Sheikh Hasina.

Khokon also talked about the need for the release of political prisoners following the peace negotiations. Ex-Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, who was in prison on charges of corruption for a total of 17 years, was released on Tuesday.
