Biden endorses Harris, but Obama emerges as a potential nominee

An unexpected twist has been enacted where Biden pulls out of the 2024 race for the presidency and supports his vice president, Kamala Harris, for the Democratic Party. Yet, the name that has set the polls soaring as the name much preferred in recent polls is that of the former first lady Michelle Obama.

Current polls show that many likely voters aligned with the Democratic Party would prefer Michelle Obama to Kamala Harris. Several polls conducted on the same day revealed that 24% of the people wanted Obama as their president, and Harris came seventh with only 7% of the votes.

Biden’s decision has brought a lot of discussions on social media, as Michelle Obama is the only contender capable of beating the Republican rival, ex-President Donald Trump.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) has pledged to ensure a smooth nomination process. DNC chair Jaime Harrison said, “The work that we have to do now, while historic, is obvious.

In the coming days, there will be a clear process of electing a new candidate for the Democratic Party so that they can proceed in defeating Donald Trump in November.

During this period, attention was paid to Michelle Obama’s potential presence in the Democratic Party as a serious contender.
