Joe Biden’s family has urged him to continue contending for the presidency in the elections for a second time following a rather unsightly performance in the debate against Donald Trump last week. Even as his staff was accused of the worst preparation strategies of the candidate, Biden’s wife, Jill, and son, Hunter, encouraged him to continue with the fight.
Leaving aside frustrated Democrats who demanded Biden resign, saying, “Now the shadow of retirement is necessary,” key Democratic leaders such as James Clyburn and Raphael Warnock supported Biden and pointed to Trump’s own lies during the debates.
Joe has since increased his campaign activities by giving a heated speech in North Carolina and garnering $33 million, $26 million of which was Contributions from the general public. There have been no distinguished Democrats calling out for him to step down, and he enjoys the backing of past presidents, Obama and Clinton.
Other Democrats said they are not completely closed to a different candidate, but Biden would need to pull out now. His family still thinks he is the only one best suited for defeating Trump and can function for another four terms.
