Braverman blasts Tories’ ‘Idiotic Strategy’ after Election defeat

In hectoring, Suella Braverman, the former Home Secretary, has vilified her own Party members after the rude shocker of the Conservatives’ poor outing in the UK General Election of 2024. Braverman is one of the comparatively few MPs who maintained her seat – Fareham and Waterlooville – and has not spared the party’s criticism along with that of former party leader Rishi Sunak.

Speaking to The Sunday Telegraph, Braverman said the following about Sunak: He engages in an ‘idiotic strategy’ and thinks that the voters are ‘mugs’. She said that the party in power “failed in office” and deserved this kind of outcome and added that it was the party’s worst-ever defeat.

Regarding the cause of the loss, Braverman focused on the main Conservatives’ opponents: high taxes, high immigration, and absurd levels of political correctness while blaming the parties for intermittently and inconsistently making ‘Tory Right’ noises that dissolved when measured against our liberal Conservative policies and actions.

The former Home Secretary also was not afraid of shifting the blame at her former superior, Sunak, for the party’s fist. “I say again, whatever some of my colleagues think, the voters aren’t mugs: they observed what we did in the office and discarded what we falsely promised during our campaigns, she stated.

Braverman’s words come at the worst time for the Conservative Party due to its electoral loss. She refrained from elaborating on whether she would start her campaign for the party’s leadership; however, other Tory MPs such as Tom Tugendhat, Robert Jenrick, Kemi Badenoch, and Dame Priti Patel are anticipated to run the bid.
