Controversial arrest unveiled in Canton Police body camera footage

A public outrage has been caused by a Canton Police Department body camera video that was just aired on national TV recently. It has been reported due to a highly disputed arrest scene. The video is aimed to depict the arrest of 53-year-old Edward John Tyson, identified as the defendant, who had been involved in a single-car accident that took place in April of 18.

The video started on the scene by witnessing a patrol officer approaching the site that the vehicle had collided with an electrical pole, as shared by local media. The police officer receives a bystander tip outlining where the driver is seeking refuge.

Officers move into the building, and there is a gangly figure of Tyson who’s standing near the bar. The altercation continues as they attempt to block his maneuvers and it soon turns into a hustle; the convicted prisoner yells multiple times “They are trying to kill me” and “Sheriff I need help”.

The spiral of events gets worse as the policemen show Tyson to the ground and fix him with handcuffs. What makes the situation worse is the official who does it reaches out his knee to Tyson’s back and presses it on his neck for almost half a minute. Tyson chants, “I can’t breathe,” and a patrol officer says, “Calm down.”

Towards the final part, Tyson is seen lying sadly on the ground without moving while police officers talk with the customers. Fearful of what they might find, the peloton checks on Tyson to find he appears unresponsive. They begin rustling his breathing, thinking his pulse is on the go.

Society eight minutes after the handcuffs came off, the officers started to do CPR. Tyson is then taken to a nearby hospital and sadly passes away, possibly from the injuries that he incurred during the incident.

According to the incident, we have examples of mass shootings and police misconduct, which is a reason the public has been attracted to and has been discussing police conduct and the treatment of suspects under arrest.

The duo involved in attendance has been put on paid administrative leave, and an investigation by Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is under process to determine the circumstances around Tyson’s arrest and his consequent death.
