Unfortunately, in the present-day terror of the Gaza Strip, lives have been cut short and have been lost due to warfare. Health Ministry in Gaza said that at least 17 people, including children, were killed and 26 others were injured in an Israeli air attack near the area of tents where displaced families live in Khan Younis.
The above-said brutality did not end, as the government media office in Gaza said that twenty-three have been killed and seventy-three injured in an attack on the school at Nuseirat refugee camp in the central part of Gaza.
The severity of the situation has notably risen, with casualties overwhelming the few working hospitals. The Health Ministry has recently urged that medical delegations be permitted to enter Gaza as doctors and medical personnel are said to be at their wits’ end.
To date, with the current conflict starting from October 7th, the death toll in Gaza is 38,713 and 89,166 injured. Hit and Shahin estimate that Israel has 1,139 people, although more than 100 people remain captured inside the Gaza Strip.
Civil society, friends, and foes alike have observed with increasing horror the upsurge in fighting and destruction that continues to batter the helpless civilians. Thus, there are calls for the parties to find a peaceful resolution and cessation of hostilities.
