The situation in the Gaza Strip has already had a tragic impact on civilians; there are several reports of fatal shooting for which families and humanitarian organizations cannot recover.
Subsequently, in an act of monstrous cruelty on a UN-managed school in Khan Younis, which housed displaced families, the Gaza Government Media Office has mentioned that 29 Palestinians, among them women and children, were killed. Civilian casualty has been of greater concern since this latest encounter has upheld more questions on safety.
Independently, ten UN specialists have raised the alert level regarding a military diet of the Gaza Strip, claiming that they have no doubt there has been famine in the area. This appalling situation speaks volume of the suffering that is happening on the ground.
It has also taken the lives of at least nine persons, most of them children, in an Israeli raid on the Bureij refugee camp while the children were playing in the street. Like in other tragedies, the reporters focusing on the theat have again and again painted a picture of a tortured population.
In addition, patients and staff have been trapped and, thus, forced to evacuate the al-Ahli Arab Hospital and the Patient’s Friends Benevolent Society Hospital due to the unannounced new evacuation warning that has been issued by the Israeli military in part of Gaza city and thereby disturbing the existing and endangered medical services that are needed in this area.
As regards the particular incident, the Israeli military has nevertheless admitted responsibility for its air strikes, and in the event, specifying that its aircraft attacked ‘a school complex’ in the Nuseirat refugee camp region of central Gaza. This act has only boosted the debate on the safety of the civilians in the war-affected areas.
Hamas head Ismail Haniyeh has threatened P staining disaster consequences if the Israeli massacres, killings, and displacement in the Gaza Strip go on in comment on the truce negotiations. This underlines the necessity of the political resolution of the existing conflicts to stop the continuation of the fighting and to help millions of suffering people.
