Deadly escalation in Gaza: Israeli assault kills 89 Palestinians

In a more wicked twist, a fresh attack on east Khan Younis in south Gaza has claimed 89 Palestinians starting from Wednesday, as estimated by Gaza’s Government Media Office. Information received further indicates that hundreds of other people were injured in the same attack.

In the middle of the ongoing war, Palestinian factions have signed a “national unity” deal, which is specifically to secure Palestinian rule over Gaza, after which the Israeli war on the enclave ends. This action speaks a lot, indicating the willingness of the Palestinian people to continue maintaining their unity as they fight the cruel continue to perpetrate the vice.

Besides the heinous crimes mentioned above, other recent human rights abuses include a Jewish-American surgeon serving as a volunteer in Gaza stating that the Israeli snipers have intentionally pulled the trigger to kill children by shooting them with dum-dum bullets with shots that are dead-center.

UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini has also urged the same, saying that the Israelis fired at a clearly marked UN that was moving to Gaza City in coordination with the Israelis. As much as the incident has been addressed, it has worsened the existing relations between the world and the Israeli government.

The last attack has been considerably destructive; 39,090 have been killed and 90,147 injured in the Israeli warfare in Gaza. Casualties resulting from the attacks from the HAMAS targets on October 7 in Israel are put at about 1,139 people, while dozens are still being confined in the Gaza Strip.

With the situation in Gaza getting worse regularly, the international community is put under increasing pressure to act and come up with an agreed common working solution in handling the conflict that has been costing so many lives on one side and the suffering of innocent people on the other.
