The pictures spreading across social media were those of a passenger physically attacking a young man for apparently dropping his crisps and other snacks he had been munching on around him. Flightmare A man was put in a headlock and repeatedly slapped on the EasyJet flight over an apparent row about snacks being dropped on the floor.
The incident happened when the flight from London Stansted to Amsterdam had already been delayed for two hours because of bad weather, so tensions were running high. The videos circulating on social media depict how a passenger attacked a young man for allegedly dropping his crisps and other snacks around him.
It was when the young lad, accompanied by two friends, was rebuked by another passenger for his untidiness which sparked the heated row. One of the man’s friends stood up behind him in the row, trying to break things up, shouting loudly and firmly, ‘Calm down, calm down!’, holding one hand up in peace and using the other to try to loosen the man’s grip on his friend’s neck.
Then it all went a bit gobby, and the young lads started hurling insults,” a witness explained. Meanwhile, flight attendants stepped in and did their best to calm down the situation. The pilot also asked everyone to keep calm.
The bigger man was then taken to another area of the aircraft. However, the flight was further delayed by 30 minutes, which frustrated other passengers, according to a report by The Sun.
