Elon Musk and his family were given a huge backlash as they waved at the photographers upon disembarking Air Force One.

Elon Musk and his family have been criticized after images went viral on social media, where he is seen flying with his mother Maye Musk and son X Æ A-12 on Air Force One, the aircraft exclusively reserved for visits of the US President, The family faced huge criticism after waving to the photographers as they disembarked from the plane.

A caption accompanying an Associated Press photo of Musk and his family disembarking from the plane stated the incident to have occurred “upon President Donald Trump’s arrival at Joint Base Andrews” in Maryland.

Other AP photos captured Trump stepping out of Marine One, a second official presidential flight aircraft, as it landed on the South Lawn of the White House on Sunday night. The President is seen stepping out of the helicopter, followed by Musk, his mother, and his son.

Some Twitter users also said the Tesla CEO and his family members were taken to the White House and were there overnight. Some of Trump’s and Musk’s critics have condemned the photos as “government waste” in the wake of huge DOGE cuts.

It comes at a time when Musk’s influence within the White House has also put questions in everyone’s minds, with some having the fear he is more dominant in US policy than Trump is. In addition to this, Musk has faced criticism for treating his son X as “human shield”, as Grimes begged him to spare their son media spotlight.
