Elon Musk is reportedly on a mission to grow his family, going out of his way to build a “legion” of children. In a recent story by The Wall Street Journal, Musk is leveraging his platform, X, to search for possible mothers and has even proposed the use of surrogates to accelerate the process. This project has been the target of what one individual referred to as “harem drama,” with Musk allegedly manipulating relationships with the mothers of his children through money and strict confidentiality agreements.
Ashley St Clair, a 26-year-old right-wing influencer who recently gave birth to Musk’s 13th child, divulged that Musk expressed his desire for a large family through a string of messages. In one message, he supposedly wrote, “I want to knock you up again,” and offered surrogacy in order to have a “legion-level” family before a potential apocalypse.
Musk has been confirmed to have fathered a minimum of 14 children with four women identified as St Clair, singer Grimes, Neuralink official Shivon Zilis, and his ex-wife Justine Musk. However, people close to Musk believe that the number could be higher. Notably, he is said to have donated sperm to a renowned Japanese woman after being approached by Japan officials.
Zilis, with whom Elon Musk has four children, is said to have “special status” among the mothers. She has accompanied Musk to VIP events, including meetings with global leaders such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
St Clair said she was offered $15 million and $100,000 a month in support if she would not list Musk on the birth certificate and keep silent about his paternity. The proposal had been made by Musk’s representative, Jared Birchall, when she went into labor. Though she would not keep it from her, she still would not place Musk’s name on official documents. Since their relationship became public in February, her monthly financing had reportedly been reduced to $40,000 and later to $20,000.
The report also says that Musk has made advances to other women, like crypto influencer Tiffany Fong, with the same promises. When Fong publicly aired their exchanges, Musk was said to have unfollowed her.
A number of women, like St Clair, accuse Musk’s entourage of using money incentives and nondisclosure agreements as a way of monitoring their deals. Birchall has described the inner circle as a “meritocracy,” where rewards are handed out based on performance.
Musk desires a large family since he believes that diminishing birth rates would endanger the future of humankind. He has repeatedly warned that “civilization is going to crumble” if there is no increase in population and believes that intelligent individuals should help build a sustainable future.
As the richest person in the world, estimated to have a net worth of $367.9 billion by Forbes, Musk’s life is highly protected with legal and financial security. Grimes, with whom he has three kids, has spoken about the money involved in their custody battles, mentioning the complexity of their relationship, particularly in times of crisis involving their children.
