Fears for Gazans as relief organizations cease operations due to a fatal Israeli attack

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza, which was already on the edge of the disaster, is on the verge of a total catastrophe with the cease to the activities of aid organizations as the result of Israel’s air strike, which has killed staff members. This particular town does give one the pushy feeling of fear and anxiety as the residents themselves stand on guard of what they may have to go through again as the new escalation occurs.

Think of a parent in Gaza dealing with the burden of blocking the already depleting supplies causally and having the extra absence of humanitarian services, too! Neither saying nor thinking about it could do anything else but give you goosebumps. There are families and children, actual people whose only fault in all that is being thrust into the violence of a war which lasts forever.

After due ponderation, the aid groups that decided to censor their activities did not do so in a light-hearted manner. It was a heart-wrenching decision that stems from the necessity to deal with security after the tragic attack that claimed the lives of common people. Yet, this may be a disaster for the poor Gazans, who were already miserable.

Picture this: a sick child in desperate need of medical attention, a low-income family who cannot even afford to feed themselves, or an entire community burnt down who have lost their homes due to many reasons such as war. These are nothing near the optimum that Gazans want their children to receive, but they still serve as services. Meanwhile, the organizations meant to bridge the gap are being pushed away against their will.

The circumstances call to our attention the magnitude of the harm that fights can do in the lives of the weakest elements of society and make a call to take immediate steps in the global community. There should not be a child who should be terrified and a parent who will struggle so hard to feed the family and a community ought not to be, that you and I take for granted, denied the basics human rights.
