Global reactions intensify amid Gaza conflict

There is now acceptance of the fact that Netanyahu and his government are not interested in a ceasefire. The official told reporters at a news conference that the United States and other Western countries were enabling what they described as a “barbaric genocide” in Gaza to persist due to their support for the Israeli government.

Bodies of at least 16 people, including 9 children, were buried after an overnight Israeli airstrike attack on a social shelter for displaced persons in Az-Zawayda, central Gaza. In another incidence, ten deaths were ascribed to an Israeli attack on a house in Nabatieh a township in southern Lebanon according to local media.

It has become a devastating humanitarian crisis where more and more people are perishing in the conflict; at least 40,074 in Gaza are cited to have been killed, and 92,537 injured. The act of violence increased sharply after the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, with the loss of lives in Israel approximated to be 1,139 and over 200 persons abducted.
