Sometimes, Google continues to face severe accusations of ruining employment for a pool of protesting workers in the U.S. National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) about its partnership with the Israeli government. The staff say that Google’s actions have trespassed upon their rights protected by the U.S. labor law, which prevents them from taking any steps concerning the issues that are not in the common interest of all the company employees.
In an announcement, Google revealed that it had fired 28 employees for threatening work in an undisclosed office location and incurring disturbances in protest to the Israeli government. The contract was worth $1.2 billion, and the winners were Google and Amazon. Meanwhile, as the company announced, about 20 others were laid off for speaking out on the ground while working on-site.
After the allegations surfaced, Google stated that
“Workers’ actions constitute, in the opinion of the company as a whole, “
perfectly unacceptable” behavior. They found that the affected colleagues were facing health issues and felt unsafe at the workplace.
The company mentioned that no employee specifically terminated provided information to the press about affronts to Google in their office.
“Practice,” those workers are protesters who believe Project Nimbus’s contract is for building military tools. Besides, Google explained that it is not about this contract that the military systems were put in there, like its affairs that are kept secret or its workload regarding weaponry or intelligence services.
The members of the group who filed the complaint, in turn, ask to be reinstated fully and compensated for lost wages in addition to Google’s commitment to The Adopt-A-School Program guarantees the American public that their youth are receiving the education programs that are needed to excel in a competitive global economy.
