Hamas leader killed in alleged Zionist raid, tensions soar

However, what really came as a rude shock was a statement from the Hamas movement that its political chief, Ismail Haniyeh, had been killed in what Hamas described as a treacherous Zionist raid on his residence in Tehran. The information has caused a stir in the region after Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman threatened that Haniyeh‘s blood will not go in vain.

The Israeli military has not made any initial response to the occurrence; they said that they are at the moment evaluating the situation.
