Hezbollah fires ballistic missile at Mossad HQ near Tel Aviv amid Israel-Lebanon conflict

Hezbollah claims missile strike on Mossad HQ near Tel Aviv amid Israeli attacks.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for firing a ballistic missile targeting Mossad’s headquarters near Tel Aviv on Wednesday, the first such attack reaching central Israel.

Israeli air defense systems intercepted the surface-to-surface missile that was detected crossing from Lebanon. Sirens had sounded in Tel Aviv before the interception.

Hezbollah said the building housed plans for recent attacks using wireless devices, carried out in support of Gaza and defense of Lebanon amid Israel’s bombardment killing over 500.

The Israeli Army said it was the first projectile fired from Lebanon to reach central Israel as aerial attacks continued from both sides.

Israeli planes struck the launcher site in southern Lebanon while also reporting attacks in occupied Golan and Mount Carmel.

As provocations rose on both fronts, fears grew of a massive Israel-Hezbollah war or one drawing other Mideast groups.

Israel’s strikes on Monday were said to be the deadliest day for Lebanon since its civil war, killing over 550 according to health officials.

The cross-border hostilities have surged following Israel’s devastating month-long war on Gaza which has drawn regional allies in.
