At war with Israel since last month, after a year of tit-for-tat cross-border exchanges, Hezbollah regularly announces the targeting of Israeli military facilities. Still, its statement that it launched “an aerial attack with drones” against Tel Nof base was the first claim of its kind in one year.
Lebanon Hezbollah said Saturday that it had attacked Israel’s intelligence base near the northern city of Safed. The attack comes against the backdrop of Israeli strikes against Iran that were conducted earlier today.
Hezbollah, in a statement, said a rocket salvo targeted the Meishar base, which it called Israel’s “intelligence headquarters for the northern region.”
The Iran-backed terrorist group also said it had targeted an Israeli air base south of Tel Aviv, the group’s first claimed attack against the facility.

The Israeli army meanwhile has said that Hezbollah fired about 80 rocket projectiles at Israel today.
Israel is fighting a two-front war in West Asia against Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Since October 7, senior leaders, including Yahya Sinwar, the head of Hamas, and Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah, have been killed by the Israeli military.
