As a consequence, Hezbollah, the Iranian-supported militant group who are also Hamas allies, answered Israel’s aggression by firing Katyusha rockets indiscriminately at an IDF headquarters in northern Israel. This retaliation took place regarding the raids mounted by Israel on the Lebanese villages located in the south of the country, as reported by AFP.
The IDF affirmed the discovery of around thirty rocket launches in Lebanon at the Ein Zeitim area in northern Israel by the Israeli defense forces. Luckily, the rockets didn’t injure anybody, and the IDF quickly countered with targeted strikes against the places where those rockets were launched.
Hezbollah declared that it fired alarmingly many Katyusha rockets at the 91st Division Headquarters — the 3rd infantry brigade at Ein Zeitim Base. Citing the Israeli army’s raids around southern villages, near the children’s homestay school, and even around the nursery at Rab Tlatin, the group said that is what made them do what they did.
The sparks in the Israel-Hezballah row sparked with the attack of Hamas in October 2024 at an unprecedented point. This went on until the Gaza war raged up. The crossfire between the Israeli army and Hezbollah is growing as this incident is happening against the backdrop of escalating regional tensions around Israel–Iran.
The war has led to a very heavy toll, including 376 dead, of whom were fighters and supporters of Hezbollah, and 70 civilians have been killed. Among troops, 10 Israelis lost their lives, and eight on the peaceful side. The situation now is still very producing, making regional tendencies even more complex.
