Hezbollah warns Israel of more ‘Surprises’ amid border tensions

Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah vowed on Friday that Israel should prepare itself for further “amazing surprises” as the conflict along the Lebanese-Israeli border remains tense. He speaks directly to Netanyahu in a TV broadcast:

The allegations were made by Nasrallah after Netanyahu, speaking to the Israeli troops, said that Tel Aviv has prepared “detailed, important, even surprising plans about Hezbollah.” Still, the Israeli leader did not disclose these plans to the enemy either.

And again remaining defiant to the threats issued by Israel, Hizbullah’s Nasrallah scoffed at Netanyahu’s speech, calling him the latter ‘heading for a dead-end,’ however, emphasizing that the resistance will go on.

The Hezbollah chief also downplayed the concept of psychological warfare, refuting any misconceptions about it and pointing out that even former Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman had his doubts about Netanyahu’s capacity to stage a successful military campaign in south Lebanon.

The continuation of hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel has been on the rise after the October 7 suicide bombing conducted by the Hamas Muslim militant organization, which led to the killing of more than 1,200 Israeli non-combatants. In turn, Hezbollah has been providing support to Hamas and occasionally lobbing missiles into Israel-owned territory just south of the Lebanese border.

As the war continues, it seems both parties are slipping deeper into positions that are likely to lead to more war and more fighting, and the next war may very well be the big one.
