“Horrific killings: Haiti gangs burn bodies of US politician’s family”

The news media in the United States of America reported that the bodies of Natalie Baker Lloyd, a daughter of Ben, a US politician from Missouri, and her husband, Davy Lloyd, were burned after they were killed by a gang just outside a church in Haiti’s capital city, among three missionaries.

Ben Baker, a Republican member of the House of Representatives of the state, said that he could not say anything more about his daughter and would not speak about her murder of his daughter until he knew that the bodies of the couple were “safe at the embassy,” as quoted by the Kansas City Star.

On Thursday afternoon, three missionaries were attacked with gunfire by a gang and were killed at the church in the Haitian capital city of Port-au-Prince; the American couple was among them. The Caribbean nation and this capital city have faced extended and severe brutality with targeted attacks on hospitals, prisons, and governmental facilities.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the newspaper saw a video that depicted the torsos of Davy and Natalie lying on the floor of the house and that the bodies of Davy and Jude were charred.

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Oklahoma called Missions in Haiti, established in the year 2000, reported that Davy and Natalie Lloyd and another person were shot by armed men in Port-au-Prince on Thursday evening.

The third victim was identified by US media outlets as Jude Montis, the Haitian director of Missions in Haiti.

The Miami Herald published an interview with David Lloyd, the father of Davy Lloyd, according to whom he was on the phone with his son when he could hear the mayhem from the other end.

The victim, identified as a 48-year-old man named David Lloyd, described the incident to the newspaper, saying he was on the phone with his son when he heard about the scuffle, the Sun reported.
