IDF kills 2 Hezbollah commanders, targets cache in strikes

The Israeli Defense Forces said Thursday (Oct 10) it attacked and killed two Hezbollah commanders in southern Lebanon.

According to the Israeli Defense Forces, among the identified commanders who fired hundreds of rockets and anti-tank missiles against the city of Kiryat Shmona is Ahmad Mustafa Alhaj Ali.

The other commander was Muhammad Ali Hamdan, commander of the anti-tank corps in Meiss Ej Jabal.

Hamdan, according to claims by the IDF, played a crucial role in several attacks on northern communities in Israel.

IDF added they also targeted a massive weapons cache in Oct 9 strikes on southern Lebanon and the capital, Beirut. The Israeli Army said it took several steps to limit harm to civilians.

12th Israeli Soldier Killed in Lebanon Invasion
The IDF confirmed that another soldier was killed during the Lebanon invasion on Thursday, raising the death toll to 12.

Killed in clashes with the Hezbollah-based group was Sgt. Maj. (res.) Ronny Ganizate, of the Alon Brigade’s 5030th Battalion.

Another reserve soldier of the 5030th Battalion was seriously injured in the same incident, according to the Times of Israel.
