It was at the meeting that, according to a The Washington Post report, Ajit Doval confessed that Lawrence Bishnoi was also capable of inflaming violence from his prison.
National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval secretly met with his Canadian counterpart last week in Singapore amid a diplomatic standoff over alleged India-backed killings of pro-Khalistan separatist figures, according to a report in The Washington Post.
During the meeting, the Canadian officials presented reportedly alleged evidence that India had engaged the network of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to execute the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar and attacks on Sikh separatists.
The US-based newspaper The Washington Post Report is based on quotes from anonymous Canadian officials.
The Ministry for External Affairs has not reacted to the claims reportedly made in The Washington Post report.
The report, quoting Canadian officials, said Doval initially “feigned ignorance” about who Lawrence Bishnoi was.
Later, the NSA admitted that Bishnoi is “well-equipped to stage violence from wherever he sits behind bars” and “knew how to indulge in mischief from his cell,” the report claimed.
Of course, in June 2022, the Indian High Commission warned Canada that gangsters based out of its land also committed violent crimes in Punjab after singer Sidhu Moose Wala was brutally killed.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang had claimed responsibility for the killing of Moose Wala. The Bishnoi gang has an associate in Canada.
