In a display of the enduring friendship between India and Russia, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Tuesday, where the two leaders reaffirmed the vast potential of their strategic partnership.
Speaking to the press, Singh used evocative language to describe the depth of the India-Russia relationship, stating that “the friendship between our countries is higher than the highest mountain and deeper than the deepest ocean.”
The Indian defense minister assured President Putin that India has consistently supported its Russian counterparts and will continue to do so in the future. He also conveyed warm greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The high-level meeting came after Singh co-chaired the 21st session of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Cooperation with his Russian counterpart, Andrey Belousov.
