Indian intelligence service provided such critical details to the Canadian government that indicated that Arshdeep Singh Gill is a terrorist and he joined the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF). According to Indian Express sources, the NIA has determined his current address, car number, and photographs of Gurpreet Singh.
The NIA has moved toward Gill’s arrest by resorting to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) through the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Subsequently, the MEA contacted the Canadian government through the Canadian embassy in Delhi to call for Gill’s immediate arrest under the provisional arrangement. However, the Canadian government has not complied with the extradition request.
Dalli, or Arsh Dalla, as he is also known, was previously working with gang members from Punjab, and then he moved to Vancouver in 2020. Soon after the death of KTF leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, Gill became the chief informal leader, ensuring continuity in the KTF’s activities and planning attacks on India.
In virtue of being added to the list of terrorists by the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs, Gill is charged with at least as many crimes as their counterparts, such as murder, bribery, targeted killings, financing terrorism, and cross-border drug and weapons smuggling.
While under the eye of law enforcement agencies, he has conducted deals in India and has ventured into many more nefarious activities. In a sudden and terrible act of violence in September, two of Gill’s associates murdered Balli, who was the leader of the Congress Party, in Moga, Punjab. He took a fall for the death, thus adding another crime to his already forged record.
By way of his contacts, he is also linked to the international terror outfit called Lashkar-e-Taiba and the Pakistan-based Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency. Even the Delhi Police’s last year anti-terror operation from which Gill’s plans for targeting the leaders of the Hindu organizations, spiritual leaders, and RSS individualities have been revealed emerged.
