India strikes Pakistan camps with SCALP and HAMMER missiles

The SCALP, or Storm Shadow, is a cruise missile with a range over 250 kilometres, capable of being launched from the air and intended for deep-strike attack. The HAMMER, a Highly Agile Modular Munition Extended Range, smart bomb was employed to attack hardened infrastructure like multi-storey buildings serving as LeT and JeM logistical hubs.

Fatal confrontations between India and Pakistan have invited apprehension and urgings for calm from everywhere globally on Wednesday. The mayhem was the worst to emerge between nuclear-neighbour nations and arch-nemesis in over two decades.

We appeal to both India and Pakistan to think of peace and stability first, be calm and restrained, and refrain from steps that lead the situation down more complicated roads,\” China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio “is calling on India and Pakistan to open up again a channel between the two leaders in order to ease tensions and reduce further escalation,” US National Security Council spokesman Brian Hughes stated following talks by Rubio with his counterparts from India and Pakistan.

The Secretary-General is deeply concerned about the Indian military actions across the Line of Control and international border. He urges maximum military restraint by both sides.” said the spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. The world cannot afford a military clash between India and Pakistan,” he added.
