Influencer’s cheetah attack video sparks outrage online

In a shocking incident, a Lahore-based influencer’s encounter with a cheetah has gone viral on social media, raising concerns about the safety of keeping wild animals as pets.

The video, shared by Nouman Hassan on Instagram, shows the influencer trying to pet the cheetah sitting between two men on a sofa. However, the large cat suddenly becomes agitated and attacks the influencer near his ear. While it’s unclear if the influencer suffered any injuries, he is seen walking away from the animal.

The clip, captioned “Cheetah Attack,” has amassed over 2.3 million likes and 173 million views since it was posted a week ago, sparking a wave of outrage and criticism from social media users.

“The cheapest, tackiest, classless people in the world are those who keep WILDLIFE as house pets. Money can’t buy class or morals,” commented one user, while another remarked, “He better be lucky he ain’t bite him after that.”

Notably, this is not the first time Mr. Hassan has made headlines for his private collection of wild animals. In August last year, he purchased two to three lions from an auction by the Lahore Safari Zoo, stating that it was a good way to diversify the gene pool for private collectors.

The incident has once again raised concerns about the safety and ethical implications of keeping wild animals as pets, with many users urging people to refrain from such practices. As one user aptly said, “Don’t keep wild animals as pets! They deserve to be free!”
